NUEVO LAREDO, TAM.- El alcalde Carlos Canturosas Villarreal, reiteró la posición de su gobierno de rechazo al incremento del IVA del 11 al 16 % por los graves efectos que ha provocado a la economía de los fronterizos como el crecimiento de la inflación y fuga de capitales.“Nosotros como gobierno seguiremos pugnando dentro de los marcos legales porque esta cuestión del Impuesto al Valor Agregado (IVA), vuelva al 11 por ciento que se tenía”, expuso el alcalde.
Luego que la Cámara de Diputados reiteró aumentar el Impuesto al Valor Agregado (IVA) en la frontera a 16 % en la reciente conformación del Presupuesto Federal de Ingresos, se ha mantenido una constante demanda para revertir este acuerdo que ha dañado la economía en la zona fronteriza.
El mandatario municipal fijó su postura al resaltar que su compromiso es con los ciudadanos, por ello, el gobierno de Nuevo Laredo emitió un punto de acuerdo al gobierno federal, detallando que esta situación iba a causar un gran perjuicio.
“Recientemente el grupo parlamentario de Acción Nacional quiso llevar a la tribuna esta cuestión del incremento al IVA en la frontera, para revertir el aumento al 16 por ciento; sin embargo, a pesar de que la frontera ha sido castigada con la homologación, una mayoría se negó siquiera a discutir el tema”, refirió el alcalde.
Canturosas Villarreal, indicó que el motivo de la lucha por defender a los fronterizos es porque la medida centralista provoca una situación de caos en la economía de la entidad con efectos nocivos.
Agregó que seguirán pugnando para que la petición de ciudadanos y empresarios sea escuchada por legisladores y el gobierno federal, a fin de revertir esta medida.
