MOSCÚ (Sputnik) — La eficacia de la vacuna rusa Sputnik V contra el COVID-19 fue del 92% según el primer análisis de datos de los ensayos de la fase 3 realizados en Rusia, dice una nota publicada en el Twitter de Sputnik V.
“La vacuna Sputnik V mostró una eficacia del 92%”, destaca la nota al agregar que la eficacia fue probada a partir del primer análisis intermediario de datos realizados 21 días después de la primera inmunización en voluntarios.
El Fondo Ruso de Inversión Directa (RDIF, por sus siglas en inglés), que participó en el desarrollo del medicamento, comentó en el Twitter de Sputnik V que más de 16.000 personas recibieron las dos dosis necesarias de la vacuna.
“Para la fecha, más de 16.000 personas recibieron las dos dosis de Sputnik V y más de 20.000 —de un total de 40.000 voluntarios— recibieron la primera dosis durante la fase 3 de los ensayos”, detalló la nota.
A su vez, la vice primera ministra rusa Tatiana Gólikova informó el 11 de noviembre que Rusia tiene planeado producir este mes 500.000 dosis de la vacuna Sputnik V.
“En noviembre de 2020 está previsto producir 500.000 dosis de la vacuna” Sputnik V, dijo Gólikova en una reunión con los diputados de la Duma de Estado (Cámara Baja del Parlamento ruso).
En diciembre y enero, agregó, se planea producir “1,5 millones de dosis, a partir de febrero de 2021, tres millones, y a partir de abril de 2021, seis millones de dosis en un mes”.
El pasado 11 de agosto Rusia registró la vacuna contra el COVID-19 Sputnik V, desarrollada por el Centro de Epidemiología y Microbiología Nikolái Gamaleya. El fármaco se produce en cooperación con el Fondo Ruso de Inversión Directa.
La vacuna consta de dos componentes: el primero se basa en el adenovirus humano tipo 26, y el segundo, en el adenovirus humano recombinante del tipo 5. El medicamento se administra en dos etapas, en un intervalo de 21 días.
Sputnik V pasó dos fases de pruebas y la tercera y definitiva se lleva a cabo en la actualidad.

El domingo 15 de noviembre comenzarán los estudios posteriores al registro de la vacuna desarrollada por el centro ruso Vector, declaró Gólikova.
“En cuanto a la vacuna Vector de Novosibirsk, estimamos que los estudios posteriores al registro comenzarán el 15 de noviembre de este año, y en paralelo se realizará la introducción de la vacuna en la circulación civil”, dijo la funcionaria.
El 14 de octubre, el Centro ruso de Virología y Biotecnología Vector registró oficialmente la vacuna EpiVacCorona tras concluir con éxito las fases 1 y 2 de los ensayos a finales de septiembre.
Es la segunda vacuna desarrollada por científicos rusos.
