La primera víctima fue rescatada unas horas después de los hechos, y fue identificada como Julián Vázquez, de 60 años de edad, y posteriormente fueron sacados dos cadáveres más.
De los hechos acontecidos en la mina ubicada en Francisco I. Madero, me permito informar que me han confirmado el rescate de dos cuerpos más, lamentablemente sin vida. Continuamos trabajando para apoyar a las personas afectadas y le expreso mi solidaridad y apoyo a los deudos”, externó el gobernador Omar Fayad en su cuenta @omarfayad en Twitter.
Previamente y en un comunicado, el gobierno de Hidalgo dio a conocer que los cuerpos de rescate, así como los secretarios de Gobierno, Simón Vargas Aguilar, y de Salud, Marco Antonio Escamilla Acosta, así como el titular de la Unidad de Planeación y Prospectiva, Lamán Carranza Ramírez, se encuentran en el lugar de los hechos para dar seguimiento a las labores instruidas por el mandatario estatal.
