La décimo octava edición del Festival Internacional Tamaulipas (FIT), programada para el mes de Octubre fue suspendida por el Instituto Tamaulipeco para la Cultura y las Artes (ITCA), bajo el pretexto de que hay cambio de administraciones tanto en el Gobierno Estatal como en los 43 Ayuntamientos de la entidad.
Hoy, continuar o no con el FIT es una decisión que pasará a manos de la nueva administración estatal y en todo caso, de continuar con este festival instaurado en Tamaulipas desde 1999, será también decisión del nuevo gobierno establecer el mecanismo de trabajo, la calidad de los espectáculos y mantener o no la gratuidad de los mismos para el público.
“El festival en realidad toca justamente en época que está entrenando el nuevo gobierno, y bueno, e actual decidió que se quedara por este año por ser precisamente en octubre, nosotros somos respetuosos de las decisiones que tome el futro gobierno, en sus manos queda la decisión de si se queda este proyecto… a toda la ciudadanía le gustaría, pero a nosotros no nos toca decidirlo”, dijo Libertad García Cabriales, directora del ITCA
“El FIT requiere mucha logística, y un año de preparación; consideramos que en este momento de transición tampoco los ayuntamientos podían tener esa capacidad logística ni financiera para transitar en este periodo”, dijo en entrevista.
García Cabriales detalló que en la mecánica de trabajo durante la presente administración, el Gobierno del Estado financió el sueldo de artistas y publicidad del FIT, mientras que los Ayuntamientos se hicieron responsables de la logística, es decir: mobiliario, escenarios y demás.
