Primero, ante la falta de áreas verdes en plazas públicas de la ciudad, habitantes de la colonia Nueva Era plantaron sus propios árboles y plantas en un espacio recreativo, ahora ellos mismos lo han modernizado con sus recursos ante la continua apatía del gobierno municipal.
Colocando más de cinco bancas, un molino decorativo es lo que ha resaltado de la plaza pública ya que con anterioridad los árboles y plantas que colocaron le dieron vida al espacio ubicado en la Privada D-23 que lucía abandonado por las autoridades municipales y que es un espacio muy concurrido por los menores que a diario acuden a jugar al lugar.
“La plaza estaba muy abandonada, primero un vecino comenzó a plantar los árboles, después plantitas y ahora ya se colocaron bancas para que se sienten los niños y niñas y los vecinos, también pusieron un molino decorativo, la plaza volvió a la vida porque estaba muy abandonada, nada más cuando la hicieron hace años quedó bien y ya después la dejaron en el olvido”, explicó un vecino de la privada D-23.
Así como esta Privada hay otras en la colonia que tienen espacios públicos recreativos sin mantenimiento, lo que da una mala imagen urbana y una plaza inservible para las familias con niños que buscan espacios de esparcimiento.
“Desde que tuvo una mejor vista ya vienen más niños a jugar y entre nosotros la cuidamos porque pues todos la usamos y pues así ya tiene casi el año que se restauró por los vecinos”, explicó el vecino.
De acuerdo al Plan de Obra Pública del 2018 para el rubro de Parques y Plazas el gobierno municipal destinó 26 millones 551 mil 419 pesos, sin embargo los neolaredenses señalan que esta inversión no se ve reflejada ya que siguen careciendo de espacios y de mantenimiento a los que ya hay por parte de la Secretaría de Servicios Públicos Primarios.
