La Jefatura de Prestaciones Médicas ha coordinado las acciones necesarias, a fin de que los diferentes servicios que se otorgan a los derechohabientes, funcionen en los horarios establecidos, especialmente en la consulta, hospitalización y el suministro de medicamentos
La Delegación del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) en Tamaulipas, informa que pese a las intensas lluvias, inundaciones y escurrimientos de agua que prevalecen por el paso de la fuerte tormenta que se dejó sentir la mañana de hoy en la zona conurbada del sur del estado, los servicios médicos del Instituto en los municipios de Tampico, ciudad Madero y Altamira, se siguen otorgando con toda normalidad, una vez que pasó la magnitud del fenómeno meteorológico.
El doctor Roberto Hernández Báez, delegado regional del IMSS en la entidad, informó que ninguna de las Unidades de Medicina Familiar (UMF) que se ubican en dicha región ha suspendido actividades, y el Hospital General Regional (HGR) N° 6 de ciudad Madero, únicamente redujo de manera temporal el número de consultorios, y realizó las cirugías consideradas de emergencia, esto para preservar la seguridad de los mismos pacientes y trabajadores, en tanto pasaba el embate de las fuertes lluvias.
En este sentido, detalló que áreas como el estacionamiento, sótano, laboratorio, cocina, y el sub sótano del elevador, fueron de las más afectadas con el incremento del nivel del agua que se desbordó del canal contiguo al Hospital, lo que orilló además a desconectar una gran diversidad de equipos en tanto se hacen los trabajos de saneamiento, limpieza y desinfección.
Así mismo, el delegado del IMSS destacó la oportuna aplicación del plan de contingencia del HGR N.° 6 para responder a un fenómeno natural de alto impacto como fue la tormenta de hoy, “aunado a la permanente comunicación que se mantiene con las autoridades de protección civil y bomberos para apoyo en las labores de restauración y vuelta a la normalidad de las áreas afectadas”.
Estimó que en menos de 48 horas, las áreas del HGR N.° 6 que se inundaron vuelvan a ocuparse, una vez que hayan sido desinfectadas y sanitizadas por equipos especializados en la materia.
Por lo que respecta a la Guardería Ordinaria, puntualizó que ésta brindó sus servicios de manera normal, y no sufrió afectación alguna. Mañana abrirá igualmente en su horario de costumbre.
En tanto, los servicios en la Subdelegación Tampico se suspendieron a partir de la 13:30 horas de la tarde, dado que la avenida Calzada San Pedro que da acceso al edificio, se inundó por completo. La Subdelegación abrirá mañana de manera normal.
Mientras que las UMF N.° 38, 77 y 16 de ciudad Madero, Tampico y Altamira, trabajaron sin contratiempos en todos sus turnos.
“Las fuertes lluvias que cayeron la mañana de hoy, que desembocan en diversos ríos y lagunas-, no afectaron en mayor medida el funcionamiento de las clínicas y el hospital, ni tampoco, generaron incremento en la demanda de los servicios de urgencias, y enfatizó que se continúa en coordinación permanente con la Secretaría de Salud, la Unidad Estatal de Protección Civil, autoridades militares y presidencias municipales de esa región, para cualquier requerimiento de apoyo a derechohabientes o ciudadanos en general que lo requieran”, apuntó el delegado federal.
Finalmente, el doctor Hernández Báez señaló que la Jefatura de Prestaciones Médicas ha coordinado las acciones necesarias, a fin de que los diferentes servicios que se otorgan a los derechohabientes, funcionen en los horarios establecidos, especialmente en la consulta, hospitalización y el suministro de medicamentos.
