Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- El extremadamente peligroso huracán “Willa” ha disminuido a categoría 4 en la escala de Saffir-Simpson, su centro se localiza al suroeste de las costas de Jalisco; se desplaza hacia el norte, rumbo a las costas de Sinaloa y Nayarit. Sus bandas nubosas delanteras cubren los estados de Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima y Michoacán.
En una conferencia de prensa el coordinador nacional de Protección Civil, Luis Felipe Puente dio a conocer que debido a las condiciones del huracán Willa, se han emitido declaratorias de emergencia extraordinaria en 12 municipios de Nayarit y 7 de Sinaloa.
Anticipándose a posibles inundaciones y daños por el Huracán Willa, el Gobierno Municipal tiene listos albergues y camiones para trasladar a las familias asentadas en zonas de riesgo, manifestó el Alcalde Joel Bouciéguez Lizárraga durante una reunión emergente del Consejo Municipal de Protección Civil con medios de comunicación.
Por la tarde, a las 17:00 horas, sesionará el Consejo Estatal de Protección Civil y ahí se ampliará la información sobre la trayectoria del Huracán Willa. Por lo pronto, la información vigente es que el fenómeno es categoría 4 en la escala Saffir-Simpson, y su punto de impacto será entre los municipios de Escuinapa y El Rosario.

Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year
old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and
screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and
