De último momento, se canceló el primer cargamento de aguacate de Jalisco a Estados Unidos.
Cinco camiones cargados con al menos 120 toneladas del fruto ya habían partido desde el pasado lunes hacía EU para concretar la apertura del mercado, luego de 83 años en que las puertas estuvieran cerradas al producto. Sin embargo, la exportación no se concretó.
De acuerdo con El Informador, las toneladas de aguacate las mandaron hacía Canadá y, otras fueron devueltas a México.
Ignacio Gómez, presidente de la Asociación de Productores Exportaciones de Aguacate de Jalisco (Apeajal) comentó que el rechazo vino porque el Servicio Nacional de Sanidad, Inocuidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria (Senasica) y las autoridades de Estados Unidos no formalizaron la firma de un plan de trabajo.
“Tomamos la decisión de re-direccionar los embarques a Canadá, un mercado al que exportamos mucho. No hay mucho problema en enviar una carga más para allá”, indicó de acuerdo con el mencionado diario.
Ahora, esperan que en Jalisco al secretario de Agricultura, Ganadería, Desarrollo Rural, Pesca y Alimentación (Sagarpa), José Calzada explique qué acciones se emprenderán para resolver el problema y para que finalmente se pueda exportar aguacate este año a Estados Unidos.
“En ese tipo de negociaciones como dicen del plato a la boca a veces se cae la sopa y creo que así sucedió. Hay que esperar y darle confianza a las autoridades, estamos esperanzados en que pronto resuelvan este asunto”, dijo Gómez a El Informador.
