El Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT) investiga a una empresa de papel creada por la familia Mansur, cercana al exgobernador prófugo de Veracruz Javier Duarte, para comprar propiedades en Estados Unidos.
Se trata de la compañía M2 Córdoba, cuyo domicilio fiscal se ubica en el estadio de beisbol Beto Ávila, donde juega el equipo Rojos del Águila de Veracruz, propiedad de los Mansur.
Según registros públicos, M2 Córdoba fue utilizada por José Antonio Chara Mansur Beltrán para comprar al menos 15 propiedades en Texas, valuadas en unos 7 millones de dólares.
Al menos 12 de ellas se ubican en el fraccionamiento The Woodlands, en Houston, donde la cuñada y los suegros de Duarte también tienen residencias.
Chara Mansur fue subsecretario de Finanzas del Gobierno de Duarte de 2010 a 2012, así como delegado en Veracruz de la Secretaría de Economía del Gobierno federal, de 2013 hasta el 25 de agosto de 2016.
Antes de 2010 se dedicaba a los bienes raíces, y sus compras en Estados Unidos son previas al sexenio de Duarte.
