El polémico grito de “¡eh puto!” que tanta controversia ha generado en el futbol mexicano se escuchó nuevamente el lunes en el estadio Azteca, ahora en el marco del partido de fútbol americano de temporada oficial de la NFL entre los Raiders de Oakland y los Texanos de Houston.
El controversial grito considerado homofóbico por algunos sectores, que se escucha en los partidos de la Liga MX cuando los porteros realizan un saque de meta también se pudo oir en el duelo Raiders-Texanos cada vez que Nick Novak, pateador de Houston, conectaba sus patadas de despeje.
“No es un tema homofóbico”, asegura Alejandro Reyna, de 42 años de edad. “Ya es una costumbre”, añade este aficionado con jersey de los Vaqueros de Dallas.
Como el grito está muy arraigado en los estadios mexicanos, hay aficionados que temen que la NFL tome medidas restrictivas para traer partidos de la liga a México en años posteriores. “Me preocupa que tomen la palabra de manera literal”, apunta Alejandra Estrada, de 29 años.
La NFL regresó a México en este 2016 luego de una ausencia de 11 años.
El grito que también se escuchó en la pasada Copa del Mundo de fútbol Brasil-2014, ya tuvo advertencias y una multa de la FIFA para la Federación Mexicana de fútbol que el pasado mes de octubre fue sancionada con 30 mil francos suizos (alrededor de 600 mil pesos).
En el tradicional “Monday Night Football”, primero en la historia de la NFL que se realiza fuera de los Estados Unidos, también llamó la atención que en los primeros minutos el mariscal de campo de los Texanos, Brock Osweiler, recibió en el rostro la luz de un apuntador láser.
El hostigamiento a los jugadores desde la tribuna con apuntadores láser es otro comportamiento de la afición mexicana en los partidos de futbol.
Antes del partido, durante la ceremonia de los himnos nacionales de Estados Unidos y México, los aficionados se comportaron con seriedad, salvo cuando fue presentado el intérprete del himno mexicano, el cantante de música popular regional Julión Álvarez.
Unos meses atrás, Álvarez protagonizó una controversia atrás por emitir comentarios misóginos.
Ante una asistencia oficial de 76 mil 476 aficionados, los Raiders vencieron 27-20 a los Texanos, en el primero de tres partidos que la NFL se comprometió a traer a México el pasado mes de febrero.
Para Arturo Olivé, director de la oficina de la NFL en México, una evaluación positiva de la celebración de los partidos en este país podría traer como consecuencia más juegos de temporada oficial como ya sucede en Londres, ciudad a la que se le programaron tres partidos de la temporada 2016.
De acuerdo con Olivé, una buena evaluación de México ante la NFL “nos permitiría construir una estrategia de partidos con una frecuencia anual en nuestro país y quizás seguir por el camino ya marcado por la oficina de Londres”.
