NUEVO LAREDO, TAM.-Tras una inversión de 12 millones de pesos quedó formalmente inaugurada la terminal de autobuses Greyhound, la cual ya brinda el servicio de transporte tanto en México como Estados Unidos.
En un acto encabezado por el Gobernador Egidio Torre Cantú, se llevó a efecto la inauguración de dicha terminal ubicada en César López de Lara y Anáhuac, y donde también estuvo presente el Presidente Municipal, Carlos Canturosas Villarreal, además del presidente del corporativo Greyhound, Dave Leach.
En el evento habló el vicepresidente de Greyhound, José Luis Moreno Cabrera, quien dijo que este era un día histórico para la empresa, por la apertura de esta nueva terminal.
Dijo que Greyhound no es extraño para Tamaulipas toda vez que desde hace más de cuatro décadas brinda el servicio a tamaulipecos, y a partir de este año se brinda desde Nuevo Laredo el servicio hacia el interior del país, así como a diversas partes de los Estados Unidos.
Manifestó que Greyhound cuenta con autobuses nuevos y tecnología de punta que permite ofrecer un servicio de calidad, con precios justos para los usuarios.
“Hoy enlazamos Nuevo Laredo y Monterrey con 13 salidas diarias, y ofrecemos asimismo a los pasajeros conexiones desde aquí a los más de 3 mil 800 destinos de Estados Unidos y Canadá”, comentó el mencionado.
Manifestó que todo esto no hubiese sido posible sin el apoyo de las autoridades estatales y municipales para hacer una realidad la operación de una terminal de autobuses en la localidad.
Por su parte el alcalde Canturosas agradeció la confianza de los directivos por invertir en esta frontera. Asimismo el Gobernador Egidio Torre Cantú también agradeció la inversión en su desarrollo y su economía.
