Familiares de periodistas presos en Tamaulipas enviaron una carta abierta al presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador y a funcionarios de la Secretaría de Gobernación (Segob), en la que solicitan ayuda para que se les haga justicia a los comunicadores.
En la misiva exponen que hace un año y dos meses, tres familiares que se desempeñaban como periodistas en el municipio de Nuevo Laredo, fueron vinculados a proceso por el asesinato del periodista Carlos Domínguez Rodríguez, ocurrido el 13 de enero del año pasado.
De acuerdo con el escrito, en las investigaciones, que duraron un mes, se constató que el caso se manejó con fines políticos, se fabricó, y hay tres presuntos culpables, entre ellos Rodolfo Jorge Alfredo Cantú García, quien es tío del expresidente municipal de extracción panista Carlos Canturosas Villarreal.
Dicha persona iba a contender por Morena en las elecciones a alcalde en 2018, pero ante el arresto de su tío, fue presionado y se vio obligado a renunciar a la candidatura, así como los empresarios de Zacatecas Adrián Montes Fernández y David Mejía Bravo, quienes el día del asesinato del comunicador estaban en su entidad de origen.
De acuerdo con las declaraciones de las autoridades estatales, las investigaciones se basaron en un testigo protegido, Juan Carlos Yáñez Osornio, exconvicto por el delito de secuestro, quien cobró una recompensa de dos millones de pesos a cambio de decir que él escuchó a los zacatecanos decir que ellos habían ultimado al comunicador.
El otro testigo amañado es Rosa Nohemí Martínez Álvarez, nuera del occiso, quien rindió cuatro declaraciones a la Procuraduría y cayó en contradicciones, dando versiones diferentes en cada una de ellas.
Por lo anterior, señalan al presidente que ya transcurrió un año y dos meses de angustia, de injusticias, “de ver a nuestros familiares en la cárcel, de ver cómo mancharon su reputación porque ellos son profesionistas”.
Gabriel Garza Flores, con 33 años de servicio en el periodismo; Luis Ignacio Valtierra Hernández, más de 21 años en los medios de comunicación, Juan Jesús González Zúñiga, quien realizaba sus estudios universitarios.
También responsabilizaron al gobernador García Cabeza de Vaca de la muerte del periodista Gabriel Garza Flores, quien falleció el 14 de abril pasado, al no autorizar atención médica en el centro penitenciario; sufrió un infarto en las instalaciones del CEDES, fue trasladado en una camioneta tipo van, que carecía de lo necesario para una urgencia, y murió en el traslado al hospital.
La misiva, firmada por las familias Garza Vielma, González Zuñiga y Valtierra Hernández, está dirigida también a la titular de la Segob, Olga Sánchez Cordero, y al subsecretario de Derechos Humanos, Migración y Población de esa dependencia, Alejandro Encinas Rodríguez.
