En las últimas semanas, el futbolista se vio envuelto en rumores que lo colocaban en la Superliga China; sin embargo, todo parece indicar que seguirá en territorio luso en espera de volver a la titularidad tras una lesión muscular que lo ha mantenido entre algodones.
“Tengo muchas ganas de pisar de nuevo el terreno de juego, pero con calma y paciencia para volver lo más fuerte posible. Clínicamente la lesión ya pasó, ahora voy a recuperar la forma y entrenarme para volver en el próximo partido” expresó el jugador para Benfica Tv.
Jiménez llegó en 2015 al Benfica, club con el que suma 21 goles en un total de 38 apariciones con las “águilas”. El artillero espera volver a la actividad el 30 de enero, cuando su equipo se mida ante el Vitoria Setúbal en la Jornada 19 de la Liga Portuguesa.
