Para celebrar el Día Internacional de la Tierra este 22 de abril, Apple, el Fondo Mundial para la Naturaleza (WWF) y 24 desolladores de aplicaciones lanzaron la campaña “Apps para la Tierra”, con la finalidad de crear conciencia de preservar la vida del planeta.
En un comunicado, Apple explicó que los usuarios de sus productos pueden ayudar con esta iniciativa comprando aplicaciones participantes y contenido exclusivo, cuyas ganancias en su totalidad se destinarán a proyectos de medio ambiente de la WWF.
Agregó que el contenido creado para la campaña tiene como objetivo concientizar al usuario mientras se divierte, como es el caso de Angry Birds 2, en el que el jugador tiene que salvar la vida marina con los pájaros enojados, y en Marvel Batallas de los superhéroes, se desbloquea a Hulk que luchará contra Ultrón Prime para evitar que contamine el universo.
Entre las aplicaciones participantes se encuentran WWF Together; Candy Crush Soda Saga; Cut the Rope: Magic; Jurassic World; Line; Enlight; La Tierra por Tinybob; Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, y SimCity Buildt, entre otras.
Como parte de las actividades, Apple Retail cambiará la hoja de su logotipo al color verde en 132 tiendas alrededor del mundo, y los empleados de las MacStore portarán camisetas del mismo color.
Algunas Apple Store seleccionadas sostendrán “Pláticas para la Tierra” y recorridos fotográficos relacionados con la conservación y el medio ambiente. En las tiendas de la firma en Estados Unidos se ofrecerán bolsas de papel elaboradas en un 80 por ciento con materiales reciclados.
