Luego de que el Tribunal Electoral del Poder Judicial de la Federación ratificara a Carmen Lilia Canturosas Villarreal como alcaldesa electa de Nuevo Laredo, la abanderada de la coalición Morena-PT reiteró su compromiso de trabajar por la unidad, el fortalecimiento de la ciudad como punto estratégico para el comercio y el combate a la corrupción.
Canturosas Villarreal afirmó que con la decisión del TEPJF se respetó la voluntad de los ciudadanos y es por ellos que no ha dejado de trabajar por la transformación de Nuevo Laredo desde el 6 de junio para rescatar a la ciudad del bache en el que fue dejada por el mal gobierno que está por salir.
“Mi único interés es ver un Nuevo Laredo próspero, con trabajo, unificado, fortalecido y que sigamos siendo el número uno en el comercio mundial, vamos a sacar ese potencial que tenemos como región y que fue olvidado por 5 años de una mala administración”, expresó la presidenta municipal electa. La alcaldesa electa destacó que se inicia una nueva era en la que los ciudadanos serán los principales actores del cambio en la ciudad, ya que su gobierno será cercano a ellos y con verdadero sentido humanista para que las familias vivan de manera digna.
“Llegó el tiempo de empoderar a los ciudadanos y que trabajemos por una nueva era para reconstruir a nuestra tan dañada ciudad, tenemos claro que es lo que Nuevo Laredo necesita y juntos lo vamos a transformar”, señaló Canturosas.
Como principales acciones de gobierno, comentó que además de recuperar la infraestructura de la ciudad, se combatirá a la corrupción y se trabajará con transparencia para que ningún funcionario se enriquezca a costa del presupuesto municipal.
“Indudablemente hay muchísimo trabajo por hacer, pero también sé que tengo la capacidad, la fortaleza y un equipo de trabajo que comparte conmigo el mismo entusiasmo, amor y compromiso por la ciudad, sé que necesito de la ayuda de la gente para sacar adelante a Nuevo Laredo”, reiteró.
Agregó que está consciente de que habrá oposición, pero afirmó que esto fortalece a los gobiernos que son transparentes y abiertos al ciudadano, como el que estará encabezando a partir de octubre. Carmen Lilia Canturosas tomará protesta como alcaldesa de Nuevo Laredo el viernes 1 de octubre, para iniciar así la nueva era en la ciudad.
