Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas; a 9 de marzo de 2021.- En una charla de mujer a mujer, Carmen Lilia Canturosas reconoció el valor que merece la lucha histórica feminista y rememoró sus acciones legislativas a favor de las mujeres para protegerlas de la violencia física y virtual.
“El 8 de marzo, ‘Día Internacional de la Mujer’, es una fecha muy especial para mí, toda vez que se conmemora la lucha histórica de las mujeres que en la búsqueda de una participación más protagónica en todos los ámbitos de nuestra sociedad, han logrado la emancipación de nuestro género y un desarrollo cada vez más digno”, dijo.
Destacó su trabajo legislativo en el Congreso de Tamaulipas a favor de las mujeres con iniciativas como la Ley Olimpia.
Esta fue presentada y aprobada para impedir la violencia digital a través de la divulgación sin consentimiento de textos, audios o videos de contenido íntimo, erótico o sexual y hoy obliga al Estado a diseñar, presupuestar e implementar políticas públicas para combatir este tipo de agresión.
Otro logro es el reconocimiento en el Código Penal del estado del delito de “violación a la intimidad”, que se da cuando una persona exhibe este tipo de imágenes o videos y se sanciona ya con una pena de 4 a 8 años de prisión.
De igual forma propuso y se aprobó establecer en el Código Penal del Estado una agravante al delito de feminicidio cuando la víctima sea menor de edad, adulta mayor, embarazada o discapacitada, sancionándose con una pena de 60 años de cárcel.
Como estas enarboló otras iniciativas que lamentablemente fueron bloqueadas por las bancadas del PRI y del PAN, proyectos de ley que buscaban el beneficio de las mujeres e incluso garantizar la manutención y la atención integral de los niños en situación de orfandad a consecuencia del feminicidio.
En su diálogo de mujer a mujer, Carmen Lilia Canturosas reconoció a todas las mujeres que se esfuerzan por abrirse espacios en una sociedad donde la falta de equidad y la violencia prevalecen, pues ella como mujer ha padecido ese problema en el ámbito profesional pero ha salido adelante a pesar de todas las dificultades.
“Si bien el camino sigue sin ser sencillo, las mujeres seguiremos trabajando incansablemente para conquistar todos nuestros objetivos”, señaló.
