Los gobernadores de Chihuahua y Jalisco, Javier Corral y Enrique Alfaro, respectivamente se deslindaron del “absoluto respaldo” que expresó la Alianza Federalista al mandatario de Tamaulipas, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca.
Corral negó que la agrupación integrada por 10 gobernadores hubiera llegado a un consenso sobre el caso de García Cabeza de Vaca, quien enfrenta un proceso de desafuero, el cual fue solicitado por la Fiscalía General de la República (FGR) a la Cámara de Diputados, por los delitos de delincuencia organizada, lavado de dinero y defraudación fiscal.
El pasado viernes, durante una conferencia de prensa, el mandatario de Michoacán, Silvano Aureoles Conejo, leyó una carta que fue enviada al presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador para asegurarle que no permitirán que “se usen las instituciones del Estado mexicano para someter adversarios políticos“.
Al respecto, Corral dijo que esas declaraciones fueron a título personal y explicó que durante la reunión que realizaron en Monterrey, los gobernadores que integran la Alianza Federalista únicamente trabajaron en responder a la propuesta del primer mandatario sobre el Acuerdo Nacional por la Democracia. En entrevista con Milenio, aseguró que no hablaron del posicionamiento sobre las acusaciones contra García Cabeza de Vaca.
Aclaró que no comparte los términos expresados y que su postura celebra que su compañero de partido “haya decidido dar la cara y enfrentar de manera transparente la acusación para defenderse”.
“Confío en una actuación responsable y apegada a derecho del fiscal general de la República, Alejandro Gertz Manero. Deseo por sobre todas las cosas –porque así lo hemos hecho en Chihuahua- que la justicia no sea selectiva y menos tenga intencionalidades políticas”, manifestó.
En tanto, Alfaro también se hizo a un lado de las expresiones emitidas por la Alianza Federalista.
A través de su cuenta de Twitter, subrayó que “los señalamientos y el tono usado para hablar de otros asuntos no acordados, como la situación que atraviesa el gobernador de Tamaulipas Francisco Javier García Cabeza de Vaca, son posturas personales que no forman parte de la agenda consensuada entre todos”.
El mandatario detalló que durante la reunión de la Alianza, en Monterrey, él no estuvo presente por cuestiones de trabajo.
“Cada quien debe asumir la responsabilidad de lo que declara públicamente. En lo personal, creo que el manejo de este asunto ha sido lamentable y genera la percepción del uso selectivo de la justicia. Sobre el tema sólo tengo la información que he visto en medios de comunicación”, agregó.
Además, expuso que defiende la idea de que la ley se tiene que aplicar sin distingos.
“Creo que el fiscal Gertz Manero es un hombre serio que no se prestaría al uso político de la institución que preside. Confío en que este asunto se resuelva con apego a la legalidad y al Estado de derecho”, concluyó.
