El presidente mexicano, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, pidió que se investigue el rol de las agencias de seguridad estadounidenses en los delitos de narcotráfico por los que se acusa a exfuncionarios mexicanos.
La declaración de López Obrador, se da luego de que el pasado 15 de octubre, miembros de la Agencia de Control de Drogas de Estados Unidos (DEA, por sus siglas en inglés) detuvieran al exsecretario de la Defensa Nacional de México Salvador Cienfuegos Zepeda por presuntos nexos con el crimen organizado.
“[La DEA] estaba completamente metida en la Secretaría de Marina [Semar], había un operativo conjunto entre ambos gobiernos. ¿Por qué sólo se involucra a quienes han participado en estos hechos en México y ellos no hacen autocrítica? una reflexión de toda la intrusión de esas agencias en México, porque, sin duda, ellos operaban, entraban con absoluta libertad al país, hacían lo que querían. Claro, se los permitían”, expresó el mandatario.
Además el mandatario mexicano criticó el hecho que EEUU no comparta información sobre sus investigaciones en México.
“Es un procedimiento que tiene el gobierno de Estados Unidos, ellos actúan con independencia, aquí lo importante es que nosotros también actuemos con independencia, lo que no se vale es que ellos participen en México, incluso se vincule a instituciones de México, y resuelven sin dar a conocer al gobierno de México lo que están investigando”, subrayó.
En entrevista con el diario La Jornada el 18 de octubre, durante la inspección del programa Sembrando Vida en la agencia Los Corazones, en Oaxaca, López Obrador dijo que respecto a la posible responsabilidad del expresidente Enrique Peña Nieto en los delitos que se le imputan al general Cienfuegos esperará a recibir los resultados de la investigación para tomar una decisión.
Por otro lado, señaló que no se debe sentenciar a las Fuerzas Armadas por las acciones del extitular de la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional (Sedena); además, aseguró que en su Gobierno ha inspeccionado cada una de las áreas —incluidas las instituciones de seguridad— para evitar casos como los de los exfuncionarios acusados por narcotráfico.
Respecto a otro tema, hizo referencia al operativo Rápido y furioso, un programa de colaboración entre los gobiernos de Estados Unidos y México, mediante el cual el Gobierno estadounidense introdujo más de 2.000 armas con chip al país para vender a presuntos delincuentes. La idea era rastrear el paradero de los compradores, pero la operación se salió de control y no se logró el objetivo.
“Toda la intromisión de esas agencias [estadounidenses] en México, porque sin duda ellos operaban, entraban con absoluta libertad al país, hacían lo que querían. Claro, se los permitían, imagínense, aceptar que metan armas para supuestamente de esa forma enfrentar a la delincuencia organizada, armas que se salieron de control, que causaron la muerte a muchos. No se debe permitir que extranjeros intervengan en asuntos que solamente corresponden a los mexicanos”, acusó el titular del Ejecutivo.
