En conferencia de prensa, en Palacio Nacional, recordó que el plazo para entregar el fertilizante venció el lunes 15 de julio y que este se entrega de manera gratuita a población en la entidad con mayor pobreza y desnutrición en el país.
El mandatario federal dejó en claro que no cederá a chantajes de bloqueos para entrega de fertilizantes y aquel productor que tenga la razón será atendido, pero quien “quiera sacar raja, provecho, no tiene cabida”.
Estamos trabajando como nunca para apoyar a los pobres de México. Tengo la convicción y mi conciencia tranquila en el sentido de que se está dando preferencia a la gente más pobre del país y como nunca está llegando apoyo a las comunidades marginadas y pobres, eso me da tranquilidad moral y espiritual”. López Obrador garantizó el respeto a las anunciadas manifestaciones de organizaciones campesinas, pero les recomendó tomar en cuenta que, si no defienden causas justas, generarán el rechazo de la población.

La recomendación es que no estén pensando que es el tiempo de antes, ya la gente tiene conciencia y esas manifestaciones en vez de ganar simpatías, si no hay causas justas, lo que recogen es rechazo”. Eso ya no va a continuar, ahora el apoyo es directo al productor y beneficiario. Con justicia se le está dando a quienes no se les ayudaba, no se les entregaban los apoyos a los pobres”. El presidente López Obrador y el secretario de Agricultura, Víctor Villalobos Arámbula, presentaron los avances en la entrega de fertilizantes en Guerrero, para incrementar la producción de maíz, frijol y arroz en el estado con mayores índices de pobreza y desnutrición.

Villalobos, por su parte, detalló que el padrón de beneficiarios este año fue de 233 mil, 55 mil más que los 178 mil que había anteriormente, luego que se integraron productores indígenas que no estaban considerados inicialmente.
Hasta ahora el 98.5 por ciento del total ha recibido su vale para canjear por fertilizantes y el 75 por ciento lo ha canjeado ya en los centros de distribución, informó el titular de la Secretaría de Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural.
