Reconoció cada vez hacen más conciencia entre los hombres sobre la planificación familiar, han ido eliminando los mitos y las ideas negativas que tiene este procedimiento, ya que antes se pensaba que el paciente ya no iba a funcionar sexualmente.
Destacó que esta campaña es permanente y los varones que deseen ya no tener más hijos se registren para que sean operados, servicio que es gratuito.
Godínez Rodríguez aprovechó para dar a conocer que con este programa, Tamaulipas ha sido dos veces reconocido a nivel nacional con un segundo y tercer, actualmente tienen el primer lugar en vasectomías, por debajo de estados como Veracruz que maneja una población mucho más grande, y el estado de Jalisco que tiene una clínica exclusiva sólo para varones.
Aclaró que la salpingoclasia no es mala, pero comparándola con la vasectomía es mucho mejor esta última, porque es una anestesia local donde el paciente entra caminando y sale caminando, a las 12 horas el paciente puede retomar su actividad, en menos tiempo con las recomendaciones que se brinda al paciente.
