Recalcó que la frontera tiene muchos beneficios tanto comerciales como interpersonales, ya que los habitantes de Nuevo Laredo son buenas personas, además de ser muy trabajadoras y cordiales.
“No me siento preocupado por el resultado de las elecciones, el peso ya ha aumentado y eso no ayuda a la economía global, creo que tendremos un diferente Donald Trump cuando esté al mando”, agregó Rivas.
Al finalizar la entrevista el presidente invitó a la reportera de Londres a recorrer las diferentes áreas de la plaza, con motivo de intercambiar culturas y demostrar que ningún muro podría interferir en la socialización entre dos culturas totalmente diferentes.
Mientras caminaban por la plaza, el señor Raúl de la Cruz Domínguez obsequió a la británica un pequeño recuerdo, se trataba de un típico par de huaraches mexicanos en talla cero, lo que tomó completamente por sorpresa a la reportera, quien encantada aceptó el regalo.
