Durante la décima edición del Buen Fin, Walmart creció en quejas y bajó en conciliaciones, pues pasó de 28% en 2019 a 49% en 2020, informó Ricardo Sheffield Padilla, titular de la Procuraduría Federal del Consumidor (Profeco).
En conferencia matutina, explicó que el proveedor concentra una de cada dos quejas y que el 84.6% del total de las reclamaciones está en trámite. Apuntó que de no conciliarse en cuatro días, se canalizarán a quejas grupales.
En segundo lugar, se ubicó Elektra, el cual pasó de 5% a 7%; sin embargo, ya concilió 100% de las protestas. Le siguieron Soriana con 6% y Chedraui con 5%.
Sheffield Padilla indicó que aunque el porcentaje de conciliación y reclamaciones concluidas entre clientes y empresas se redujo de 88% a 79%, se logró duplicar el dinero recuperado en favor de los consumidores, ya que este pasó de 2 millones 230 mil pesos en la edición pasada a 4 millones 195 mil pesos este año.
“Por eso podemos hablar de que fue exitoso porque en general se ven mayores números”, expresó.
Añadió que la Profeco atendió mil 56 en el Buen Fin 2020 reclamaciones formales, mientras que un año antes fueron 661.
El procurador sostuvo que la edición cerró con buenos números, lo cual indica que muy probablemente hubo mejores ventas que el año pasado. No obstante, indicó que en próximas fechas eso lo confirmará la Confederación de Cámaras Nacionales de Comercio, Servicios y Turismo (Concanaco).
Refirió que este año, las consultas sobre quién es quién en los precios crecieron de 50 mil 251 a 77 mil 442, lo cual, enfatizó, quiere decir que los consumidores salieron empoderados a comprar.
Manifestó que 31% de los consumidores hicieron compras con ahorros, mientras que 24% lo hizo con tarjeta de crédito. Agregó que las familias gastaron entre mil y 10 mil pesos.
