En abril, Jagger, de 75 años, fue sometido en EU a un reemplazo de válvula aórtica por catéter, un procedimiento poco invasivo que permite reparar la válvula sin tener que seccionar el tórax, por lo que se reduce el periodo de recuperación.
La intervención quirúrgica obligó a los Stones a suspender su muy esperada gira por Norteamérica.
En un video colgado en sus redes sociales y para la alegría de sus seguidores, al legendario cantante se le ve bailando enérgicamente y saltando delante de un espejo en un estudio de baile.
El grupo musical tenía previsto hacer en abril su gira “No Filter” por Estados Unidos y Canadá, con la primera presentación en Miami, el 20 de abril, y que terminaría en Ontario el 29 de junio.
A finales de marzo, los Stones emitieron un comunicado en el que señalaban que los médicos habían aconsejado a Jagger -que ostenta el título de “sir”-, no hacer la gira porque necesitaba tratamiento médico, sin especificar entonces cuáles eran los problemas de salud.
Días después, precisaron que Jagger iba a ser operado de corazón.
