Crear conciencia sobre el cuidado del agua y el buen uso de la misma en especial de estudiantes de jardín de niños y escuelas primarias, es la finalidad del programa “Cultura del Agua” que lleva a cabo la Comisión Municipal de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado –COMAPA- por instrucciones del Presidente municipal Enrique Rivas.
El programa se brinda específicamente en instituciones educativas de los tres tipos de niveles básicos, ya que los niños son los principales portavoces de lo que aprenden y ponen en práctica los conocimientos tanto en las escuelas como en sus casas.
Rodolfo González Morales, Gerente general del organismo operador, indicó que en esta ocasión personal del Departamento de Capacitación y Adiestramiento y a cargo de Sandra Luz Tejada Vallarta, visitó el jardín de niños Juan Edmundo Lozano y primaria Reginaldo Elizondo Garza en el turno matutino.
“En la plática se explica la responsabilidad que se tiene para cuidar el agua, se da a conocer la importancia y la actual situación del vital líquido, así como el desperdicio que ocasiona si se cierran mal las llaves de los bebederos”, mencionó González Morales.
Las pláticas y consejos sobre el cuidado del agua fueron brindadas a 226 alumnos y 11 profesores de dichas instituciones.
Con este tipo de actividades el organismo operador crea conciencia en el alumnado y enseña a utilizar el vital líquido racionalmente.
“El Gobernador de Tamaulipas, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, busca que los niños como futuro de la humanidad cuiden el principal elemento de la vida y este programa se aplica con este propósito en todo el Estado”, dijo González Morales.
Si algún director de alguna escuela desea que el programa acuda a su institución puede solicitarlo a través de un oficio en atención a la gerencia general, donde pueden indicar la fecha en la que desean recibir la visita; el documento debe llevarse a las instalaciones COMAPA en Victoria 4610 en la colonia Hidalgo o bien pueden llamar al 8900-900 extensión 1931.
