El ex gobernador de Tamaulipas Tomás Yarrington Ruvalcaba se suma a la lista de priístas que son considerados prófugos de la justicia. Ayer, la Procuraduría General de la República (PGR) ofreció hasta 15 millones de pesos por información que lleve a su captura. El primer caso en esta administración fue el mandatario de Veracruz con licencia, Javier Duarte.
La dependencia, que encabeza el procurador Raúl Cervantes Andrade, dio a conocer la recompensa, pues existe una orden de captura en contra de Yarrington por la probable comisión de delitos contra la salud.
La PGR publicó en el Diario Oficial de la Federación el acuerdo A/183/2016, en el cual ofrece hasta 15 millones de pesos a cambio de información veraz y útil para la localización, detención o aprehensión de Tomás Jesús Yarrington Ruvalcaba, probable responsable de delitos contra la salud.
El ex mandatario tamaulipeco ha sido acusado en diversas averiguaciones previas de ser un personaje relacionado con integrantes del cártel del Golfo y Los Zetas; sin embargo, hasta esta fecha se dio a conocer la existencia de una orden de aprehensión en su contra.
Yarrington Ruvalcaba fue alcalde de Matamoros de 1993 a 1995, y gobernador de Tamaulipas de 1999 a 2004. En 2012, un testigo protegido de autoridades estadunidenses señaló que el ex mandatario lavó dinero para cárteles de drogas.
Antonio Pérez Argüelles, ex colaborador de Yarrington, quien se convirtió en testigo de la DEA, aseguró que el ex gobernador tenía nexos con organizaciones criminales.
En la edición vespertina del Diario Oficial de la Federación se explica que el 13 de julio de 2012 la entonces Subprocuraduría Especializada en Investigación de Delincuencia Organizada comenzó una indagatoria por delitos contra la salud en contra del ex mandatario priísta.
A pesar del amplio despliegue de elementos de la Agencia de Investigación Criminal para cumplimentar la orden de aprehensión, aún no se ha logrado conocer el paradero del probable responsable, por lo cual resulta de suma importancia la obtención de mayor información que permita su localización, se indica en el acuerdo, firmado por el procurador Raúl Cervantes Andrade.
El año pasado abogados de Yarrington trataron de obtener un amparo de la justicia federal; sin embargo, el segundo tribunal colegiado negó ese beneficio por considerar conducentes los testimonios ofrecidos por los colaboradores de la autoridad (las imputaciones proceden de los testigos protegidos con nombres clave Óscar, Pedro, Ángeles, Pitufo, Yeraldín y Rufino, algunos de ellos detenidos en Estados Unidos), quienes han dejado indicios de la probable responsabilidad del inculpado en los delitos por los que el agente del Ministerio Público consignador ejercitó la acción penal.
